Every week I have a
different theme, or intention for the yoga classes. These yoga
lessons are a good way for you to practice at home.
Follow the sequence
of poses as they appear in the lesson, and be aware of your breath,
physical actions, and alignment in the poses. Avoid practicing
poses that are new to you, or those that cause pain.
After completing the poses on the practice sheet, lie down on your
mat and take 10 minutes to restore the body and mind in Savasana,
the corpse pose.
Begin your practice
of new poses in a classroom setting with an experienced yoga teacher.
Your teacher will take you step by step through the pose to engage
the muscles correctly and adjust your alignment.
